This blog began as an ode to my greatest love…
But food and I had some major issues. It just wasn’t working between us anymore.
In July 2014, I got on the scale and saw a number that changed my life. Or rather, it made me decide to change my life. Since then, this blog has been the story of what happened after that day.
My first order of business was committing to Weight Watchers. This ain’t my first rodeo. I’ve spent most of my life trying to lose weight. What’s different this time around is I’m focusing on the mental/emotional aspects of weight loss just as much, if not more, as the physical part. Changing my mindset has been key. I don’t aim for perfection every day. Instead, I strive to make the right choices most of the time. I know if I do that, the results will follow. And so far, they have.
I’ve lost 20 pounds as of November 2014. I’ve lost 28 pounds as of January 2015. I’ve lost 32 pounds as of April 2015.

My name is Kerry (with a” y” not an “i”, please!) and I’m a marketer/writer living in Tampa. I like to think I’m on the right side of 30. I’m always thinking about my next meal. I’m also a total smartass (hence the “snark”).
I write about my weight loss journey, as well as a mix of original and adapted recipes (it’s nearly impossible for me to follow a recipe — I always like to tweak things a bit).
